Buffalo Mozzarella

It was first heard of in the 1400s when this cheese was called “Mozza”, as the final stage of its production ended in the “mozzatura” (cutting the end).

Mozzarella is a fresh soft cheese, made of lots of layers of very subtle crust. It’s produced in round shapes of different sizes, little bites, squares or plaits.

The tour will enable the discovery of the typical flavours of this region. Apart from Mozzarella, Ricotta, the hard cheeses, buffalo meat and the garden vegetables, we can find cakes, ice cream, yoghurt made with Buffalo milk, which will make for a more unique tasting in this unique setting.
