Arrival in Bologna, also called “Dotta”, the Learned City, because of its ancient University, and “Grassa” , the Fat City , for its excellent gastronomy. Meeting with the guide and visit the city, famous for its towers, especially the Torre Degli Asinelli (Donkeys’ Tower), one of the largest and best-preserved medieval old town centres in Europe, full of pubs, taverns, theatres, and shops.

In the late afternoon, on to Salsomaggiore / Tabiano Terme, hotel accommodation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the visit of Parma. Meeting with the guide and start the tour with a walk through the city centre allowing you to discover its history and main attractions: Piazza Duomo with the Romanesque Cathedral with Benedetto Antelami’s Deposition and Correggio’s masterpiece Dome and the Baptistery, a splendid example of medieval art; Piazza Garibaldi, the heart of the city overlooked by the Palazzo Comunale and the Palazzo del Governatore the Piazzale della Pace with the Palazzo della Pilotta. Continuing on, we admire the historic Ducal Garden and the Regio Theatre, the legendary temple of opera, and the Basilica of S. Maria della Steccata.

Lunch at the restaurant.

In the early afternoon, we continue on to Torrechiara Castle, a manor house dating back to the 15th century and the realm of fairy-tale love

between Pier Maria Rossi and his beloved Bianca Pellegrini. We then continue to Langhirano to visit a ham factory to discover the famous Parma ham. You will learn all the stages of processing until the mouth-watering moment of tasting!

In the evening, return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for a visit to the Fortress of Fontanellato where you can admire the decorated rooms, the fabulous room of Diana and Actaeon frescoed by Parmigianino, and the optical chamber. An ancient legend has it that the castle is home to the ghost of little Maria Costanza Sanvitale, granddaughter of Duchess Maria Luigia of Austria, who died at the age of 5 years, 7 months, and 7 days. Some castle guides and tourists heard footsteps, and a child’s voice and saw phantoms in two rooms in particular: the Billiard Room and the Reception Room.

Lunch in a local restaurant and in the afternoon continue for a guided tour of Verdi Sites: visit to Giuseppe Verdi’s

birthplace in Roncole, the Verdi Theatre in Busseto guided by Giuseppina Strepponi: friend, companion, wife, confidante, and inspirational muse of the Maestro; a soprano in the elegant role of Giuseppina will tell you anecdotes from her  private life and historical facts while singing two fragments of some of the Maestro’s most famous arias.

The visit continues to Casa Barezzi, an obligatory stop on the tour of Verdi Sites. The historic hall, home to the

Bussetana Philharmonic, hosted Verdi’s first compositions and public performances. The rooms host a vast exhibition of Verdi memorabilia, with autographed letters, portraits, documents, and posters.

In the evening back to the hotel,  dinner, and overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Modena to visit the Museum dedicated to Enzo Ferrari where you will admire the many cars on display that have made history and the man who created them and made them famous. Lunch in a vinegar cellar with a tasting of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena and local products. After lunch, we continue on to the Ferrari Museum in Maranello where you will continue to experience the myth and where most enthusiasts can use the semi-professional simulators to experience the thrill of driving a Ferrari Formula 1 single-seater. You will have the chance to drive on some of the most famous circuits: Monza, Barcelona, Silverstone, Imola, Nürbürgring, Zandvoort, SPA Francorchamps and Mugello. The cars make you feel the road surface, react realistically when you get on the kerbs, and have an extraordinary sensitivity to acceleration and braking that will make you experience the thrill of speed at the wheel of very sophisticated vehicles.

Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
